King of the Hill?
Bobby Hill came through the Chicago Cubs farm system being promoted as the next Ryne Sandberg. Natural ability in the field and at the plate, Hill became a victim of the Cubs’ pennant chase in 2003 by being traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in the deal that brought slugging third baseman Aramis Ramirez and speedy centerfielder Kenny Lofton to the Cubs. Now working his way through the Pirates farm system, Hill continues to improve and hopes to make a big splash as a starter in Pittsburgh.
This black Louisville Slugger bat was used by Bobby Hill during his short tenure with the Chicago Cubs in 2002. This uncracked bat shows nice game use, and is as scarce example from Hill’s debut as the starting second baseman for the Chicago Cubs. Priced at $75.
